Trust the Goodness of Your Inner Landscape.

IMAG0676

Trust in the goodness of your inner landscape.  Your natural ways will bring you to the discovery of your gifts.  Honor your passions as you grow and enjoy the fruits of your focused intention by actively engaging in what you love.

You will notice the things you loved as a child are aspects of who you are today.  Get in touch with your inner child and express your creativity and joy for life. Don’t worry what others think. As long as you do no harm, you will be taken on a journey of a lifetime through your continued involvement in doing what you love.

Many blessings,

Shajen (Cheyenne)

Believe in Your Highest Self – Take a Leap

Art by Richard Lichtenstein www.rlichtenstein.com
Leaping Horse by Richard Lichtenstein

Take a leap of faith and trust in your highest self to guide you safely on the journey.

When you make choices from a space of honest contemplation, and compassionate communication, you allow your pathway to flow with more grace and ease.

Many people today are fraught with negative feelings of themselves and others.  It is in the journey of connecting with your highest self that you are able to transform those thoughts and feelings into opportunities and possibilities for self and others.

Take time today to share your gratitude with those around you. Find ways to pay it forward, buy the next person in line a cup of coffee, smile at a stranger, offer assistance where you can.  All of these are acts of kindness and produce more goodness in the world than one can possibly imagine. The more kindness you offer the easier it is to stay connected to your positive presence – your higher self.

Create peace within by connecting with your thoughts, actions, and feelings which produce positive possibilities and feelings for yourself and those around you.  Transform your adversities into opportunities.

May grace and love be yours today and every day.

Warmly,

Shajen

This Simple Process Will Help You Become More Intentional With Your Thoughts

Much of your life and its outcomes are based on what you choose to focus on in any given circumstance. Through my two decades of work with individuals, families, schools, and businesses I have come to learn is that many people are having a hard time focusing on the positives in themselves and their lives. By helping them to do this, we support….

I realize now after working in the field of education for so long that we are unintentionally focused on what is wrong with our children instead of what is right about them. Then those children grow up into us…not knowing what is right and wonderful about us and thus most of us live our lives not knowing what our purpose is or even how to access it as a possibility in our life.

It is hard to focus on the positive and what is possible when society has trained it out of us.  This process is created to support the reconditioning of negative predispositions and beliefs to positive and definite possibilities.

The knowledge which exists today shows us that our molecules are emotive. They change on a cellular level depending on our environment.  What has happened to most of us is that we have stayed in our Amygdala part of our brain which is fight or flight.  We will get you out of fight or flight…. As well as giving you techniques for greater clarity through simple, easy to do anywhere, breath practices which provide your body with more oxygen, your mind with more clarity and the ability to activate what you know to be true.

It is essential to understand your emotional wellness and a tidbit of neuroscience, as well as how positive thoughts lead to positive emotions and actions.  These coupled have a significant impact on your well-being and success, both with your personal and professional worlds. You remember Gandhi,  One of his famous quotes holds accurate in what we know today of neuroscience,

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny. ~ Gandhi – Indian political and spiritual leader

“Research has shown that positive emotions and interventions can bolster health, achievement, and resilience, and can buffer against depression and anxiety. And while considerable research in neuroscience has focused on disease, dysfunction, and the harmful effects of stress and trauma, very little is known about the neural mechanisms of human flourishing. Creating this network of positive neuroscience researchers will change that.” – Professor Martin E.P. Seligman

The key to do anything is doing it. Just like Nike says, “just do it.” Nike is right.  This is the key to accomplishment and success in all areas of your life. The key to writing is to write, etc.…  Many of us live our dreams in our minds and are isolated and alone wishing or hoping someone will find us.  The key to this answer is… you must discover you. You must open up to your authentic self and activate your energy into the world in which you desire happiness, which to me means success.

Let’s begin.

This simple process will help you become more intentional with your thoughts by focusing on what is wonderful and right about you.

Whenever you find yourself, telling yourself what’s wrong with you, your job is to immediately state, “cancel, cancel.” Then replace your negative self-talk with positive thoughts and feelings about yourself and or the situation.  And, if that doesn’t work, you immediately focus on gratitude. Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood taught me to “focus on gratitude, focus on the people, places, and events you are grateful for.” This one act places your attention on the good thoughts and experiences in your life and immediately brings you positive feelings. It is these positive vibrations which you want to align with. Focus on what is right and wonderful about you. Place your attention on all the people, places, things and experiences you are grateful for in your life.

Make a list and Remember to INCLUDE YOURSELF

I am grateful for… ( how many can you come up with right now?)

Become Intentional With Your Thoughts

Your thoughts are mental energy, and they contribute to positive or negative feelings within. There is a lot of discussions about the “monkey mind.” and learning to control it. There are many valuable reasons for this, and it begins with understanding that what you focus on expands. If you desire to live a life you love, then being able to shift your perspective and point your thoughts in positive ways, is essential to this process. 20140618_121044 (2)

Become intentional with your thoughts.  Pause for a moment and practice with me.  Notice how you can think of an idea. Right now, just think any thought. Ok, good, now look at the thought you were just thinking and change it to a more positive thought.  Great, notice how you have the ability to be intentional with your thinking.

It takes 66 days to change a habit. In order to create this type of sustainability, you have to make conscious and aware choices.  The best way to begin doing this is to ask yourself the question, “why am I doing this?” “What is my purpose?”  Your mind wants to answer the questions proposed. Know that the quality of the questions you ask determines the quality of the life you live.

The Purpose of Emotional Pain

DiscovertheGiftbluewaterprofileBTRThe purpose of emotional pain is to wake you up.  When you bring the unconscious to the surface, you are able to see the pain and begin to examine its roots; giving you the opportunity to grow and discover peace within.

Arising to your own healing is an essential step in living a life you love. It is your private world which truly drives your choices. When you choose to grow, you decide to do the work it takes to uncover your internal peace. The first step in this process is opening up and being receptive to forgiveness; for yourself and others.

Forgiveness creates space in your body, mind, and spirit. When you choose a pathway of compassion, it immediately alleviates the physical stress caused by negative thinking, short breathing, and ongoing upset.

Turn your pain into power; begin the healing process, and activate a life you love.

Pause for a moment and take a deep breath. Anchoring yourself in your being…complete these sentences, and bring your attention to them throughout your day.

I forgive myself for ______________________________________________.

I forgive ________________________ for ____________________________.

Forgiving others is not about condoning their actions, it is about waking up to your life and opening up possibilities of peace where pain once thrived.

Seek to Know Yourself

cropped-294482_480675935278090_2045400787_n.jpg

We can look at our lives as the journey of discovering ourselves, those we love, and our gifts and passions.

The best way to begin the journey of finding yourself on a new level is to ask questions like: Who am I? What brings me peace?  What lights me up and inspires me? Who do I love? How can I turn my pain into power?

To access your gifts and talents and to transform your adversities into possibilities, you must be a seeker of knowing thyself. The first step in this process is to be willing and receptive to having a relationship with yourself. This is step one in turning your pain into your purpose and your power.

Paying attention to the good things which emerge from your adversities, as well as the blessings in disguise which you experienced along the way are two of the best ways to find out what gifts, strengths, and talents are within you.  For example, my mother passing away at an early age instilled a high level of compassion in me. This has fueled my life’s passion for healing others.  The adversity of my mother’s car accident presented me with the opportunity to know my strengths, my boundaries, and sincere empathy in a way I never even imagined wanting. How have your adversities informed who you are today? What do you like about yourself because of those difficulties?

How have your adversities informed who you are today? What do you like about yourself because of those difficulties?

The quality of the questions we ask determines the quality of the lives we live.

How did you get here?  What pathway did you take and what were the gifts of that journey? What did you learn about yourself?  What do you know now that you didn’t before, because of this trip? It is essential for you to know that each stepping stone, every experience is a piece of your voyage and there for your development. As Ram Dass teaches us,

“Everything in your life is there as a vehicle for your transformation.
Use it!” ~ Ram Dass

Now is the time to follow through on what you know to be true. Trust your positive, inner wisdom and knowing, it is there to guide you.

Warmly and brightly,

Shajen

Your Positive Presence is Beneficial

cropped-chrysanthemum.jpg

When you realize, your presence is beneficial your self-worth begins to blossom, your self-esteem begins to unfold, and it is here that your willingness to share is born freely. ~ Shajen Joy Aziz

We grow up in a society which focuses on everything that is wrong with others. This note is here to remind you that you are beneficial to this planet. You are important, and no matter what anyone may have told you, the Gift that you are as an individual, never to be repeated again walking miracle that you are, is patiently waiting for you to discover it, and not be afraid to share it.

You are a gift to yourself, your family, your community, and all those in your sphere.  Which positive aspect of yourself do you want to share with others?

Maybe you have a project you’ve been dreaming about, or a book ready to flow? Are you interested in starting a non-profit or beginning a weekly group, focused on what you love? Maybe you are excited to start and/or expand your business, share a solution with your team or boss and ask for a raise… whatever it is – do it.

It is here, on this journey, that you will discover new areas of strength which will help you to reconnect to your inner wisdom and activate your dreams, passions, and gifts.

The first step is to be open and receptive to what you are actually interested in.

For a moment, get comfortable and take a nice relaxing breath. Now, ask yourself this… “What lights me up and inspires me so much that I lose the sense of time while engaged in the experience?”

At first, you might hear the chatter of what you think the world wants you to participate in.  I’m asking you to go deeper, below that chatter, and listen to the voice from this space.

What do you hear?  What lights you up and inspires you? Where do you want to focus your energy and extra time?

Take this time now to write in your journal, and note what you discovered.  To manifest this, understand that focused action creates transformation.

Warmly and brightly,

Shajen
