Timeless Wisdom from my Mom

Fonda Joy Segal

Happy Solstice

“We are honoring the light,” she would tell us, and “today we celebrate its return.” Happy Solstice! My mother, Fonda Joy, was a trailblazer, a woman before her time. Knowing the importance of earth medicine, she taught us to understand our surroundings well and recognize the magic within us and all around us. I am grateful for her powerful spirit and consistent lessons, as they were clear, courageous, and timeless.

  1. Honor your voice – it’s not healthy to hold it in – speak your truth.
  2. Know Your body, love your body
It’s Your body – it is Your choice
  3. Eat organic and local whenever possible
Food can be medicine or poison.
  4. Sugar is evil; stay away from it.
  5. Stand tall (“back straight and titties up”)
  6. Move your body every day.
  7. There are messages from the earth; spend time with her and listen.
  8. Know that everything is connected; the animals, the people, the earth, the moon, the stars, and the galaxies.
  9. Keep creating – there is life there
  10. Love Big – Love is always the answer

I have missed her since the age of 12, knowing nothing else; I have embraced her lessons and a life without her physical presence. Every day, I welcome her loving spirit. 💫🙏🏼Blessed and grateful.🙏🏼💫

Here Comes the light.
